Pottery
is my passion.
Each of my handcrafted pieces has a unique identity. I begin by shaping a thin slab of clay with a drape mold and let the personality emerge as I paddle, carve, and glaze the developing pottery. To enhance the natural element of my art, I often include driftwood that I find on Long Island's Beaches.
Recent inspiration has taken me to explore the abstract form. In my new sculptures, I play contrasting textures, shapes, and forms against each other until I find the delicate balance.
